Julie Waites

Associate Franchise Advisor

Julie is one of the most experienced franchise consultants in the UK. Her career began in the 1980s with the Prontaprint Group where she became UK Franchise Director for the retail franchisor Phone-In. Since forming The Franchise Company in 1991 Julie has worked on many successful franchising projects for clients across a wide range of sectors both within the UK and internationally. Julie is a leading affiliate consultant with the British Franchise Association and a regular guest speaker at various BFA events including Franchisor Training Days, Online Support Videos, Women in Franchising and a judge at the 2017 Franchisor and Franchisee of the Year awards.

Julie works with her own clients through all aspects of franchise system development from franchise format planning through piloting, ongoing franchisee recruitment and specialist franchise staff training. She works with some of the UKs leading franchise lawyers on the development of franchise agreements and the banks franchise units re franchisee funding for franchisor clients.

She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a licensed swimming official with the ASA and has been involved in judging various swimming events and competition across the UK. She is a trained team manager (Level 2) with enhanced DBS clearance. She has two daughters and a dog.
